HOPE FOR RURAL AFRICA FOUNDATION VISION AND MISSION ON AGRICULTURE

Most livelihoods in Africa are built around agriculture which goes a long way to show that, the main stay of the African economy is rooted in agriculture. As part of its effort to boost food production in rural Africa, “HOPE FOR RURAL AFRICA FOUNDATION” acronym as HOPEFRAF will collaborate with other similar agencies with the same vision and mission to support agriculture in three distinct areas.

i. Agriculture Extension Services
ii. Basic Agricultural equipment
iii. Financial Support through cooperatives

Most rural farmers have very little or no education which makes it very difficult if not impossible to assimilate simple agriculture information to enable them appreciate and understand basic concept of agriculture to improve their output.

Again, the cyclical nature of poverty unable farmers to buy basic equipment like pumping machine, spraying machine, rubber hose, pvc pipes for their irrigation during the dry season.

Also, there is the difficulty in accessing credit from rural banks to enable them start work anytime the rain sets in. HOPEFRAF is here to bridge this gap in rural Africa to support our farmers to improve their production. At the moment, HOPEFRAF is working with a little over three hundred farmers grouped into cooperatives dotted around Ghana.
